As someone who absolutely loves sushi, I often order it for delivery, but this is the first time I've ordered from here. The sushi was incredibly fresh, had no odor, and had a great texture. It's safe to say this is one of the best sushi places in terms of price. The only downside was that the rolls were not as impressive compared to the sushi.

This place is awesome!! Really high quality fish and so so fresh!! We got a medium platter for birthday - the two of us almost exploded after all it’s for 4-6 ppl haha. But I think it’s good amount for 3 ppl. We didn’t expect much from the roll in our platter but omg it tasted sooo good as well! Will definitely come back!! Also, the chef/owner is super nice! We went to pick up and he made an extra three pieces of toro sushi for us to taste (might also because we told him it was for birthday haha). He worked in Korea/Japan Hyatt for 20yrs and now just wanted to focus on his own sushi store. He did say the quality at this price is difficult to maintain so gonna show more support by ordering more often now hahaha

The best sushi & sashimi spot in New Jersey!! Great to pick for take out and order their combo at least twice a month. The quality is the best around the area and the service is amazing. My significant other that lives in New York asks to pick it up whenever I visit after work. This is my go-to sushi/sashimi!

I recently ordered from Akasaka this past weekend and I have to say this might be my new favorite sushi place. I ordered the sushi & roll platter to share with a few friends and we all agreed that the rolls and sashimi tasted so fresh. They were so accommodating when I asked to get toro sushi (for an additional fee) in the platter instead. Their miso soup was seasoned perfectly, not too bland or salty. Also, I love how they gave us plenty of wasabi and ginger. Support your local business and order from Akasaka!

Fresh ingredients, well-portioned rice and TASTY! Their tuna is different from other takeout places (doesn’t taste thawed/watery). Try once. You will be craving their sushi everyday. Highly recommend this place.

Very fresh, delicious sushi at this little take out place. You can also sit outside, if the weather permits. Great service too! Happy I dropped in.

Super nice and friendly service. I ordered large Sushi & sashimi platter, which had over 30 pieces of sushi, 1 roll and some sashimi - good for sharing. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will go back for more next time.

The absolute best place to get sushi!!! Ordered their medium platter as a birthday treat and was totally shocked and delighted by the array and quality. For the price, it is really such a gift because the selection and freshness of pieces included were extremely generous and top notch. Fantastic people who clearly care about their craft, will be back often. Edit: Have come back more than a couple times and they are still so fantastic. The quality is still the absolute best in town and so much care is put into their food and service. We decided to grab anniversary lunch outside their shop and they brought us some bonus tuna belly to enjoy. Please support this small business forever!
